About Annalee

I am Special Counsel at Martens Legal.

With 10+ years experience working in specialist family law firms and previously recognised as a “Rising Star” in the Doyle’s List, my approach to family law is grounded in compassion, human connection and big picture focus.

For those at the end of their relationship, I transform confusion and uncertainty into clear advice and goals. My real strength is achieving outcomes based on strategy and impact, rather than reaction. Whether it’s an amicable split or a more complicated situation, I will help you move forward with calm confidence.

For anyone at the start of a relationship and looking to their future, my passion is planning and the preparation of financial agreements like prenups. With a unique take and approach to the “what ifs” in relationships, I will help navigate tricky conversations with upbeat warmth, genuine care and attention to detail.

As for a life outside law, I moved to Mongolia in 2019. Yes, you read that right!! While living as an expat in Mongolia and later Singapore was an unexpected life (and career) curveball, I stayed true to my interest in relationships and lectured in family studies at university. It’s this interest in exploring the changes we undergo in life and how that fits into our experience in relationships that I believe sets me apart as a family lawyer.

I returned to Brisbane in December 2023 and am back doing what I love – helping people navigate major life events and their legal issues with ease.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me clutching coffee and chasing after my two young kids. If I am not in lawyer or mum mode – I am a wannabe interior designer constantly redecorating (and reorganising) my home.
