Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and work on family law legal files, including advising clients and preparing legal documents
• Represent clients in family law negotiations, mediations and court proceedings
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law legislation and best practices
• Provide empathetic, caring, and client-focused legal services
• Collaborate, mentor and delegate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service delivery
• Utilize technology efficiently to manage matters and communicate with clients and the team

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years post-admission experience (PAE) or equivalent experience such as working in a family law firm in a paralegal capacity while studying
• Strong passion for family law
• Proficiency with legal technology. Proven experience with systems such as Smokeball and Asana would be ideal
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates qualities of efficiency, innovation and an empathetic, approachable style in both client and team interactions
